Leaking pipes are both an irritating nuisance and a
serious potential source of water damage if not handled promptly. Even a small leak in a pipe can fairly quickly release enough water
to cause damage to wood or other surfaces in your home, and a large leak
obviously causes damage much quicker. Leaking pipes also are a potential mold or mildew
risk, as the extra moisture offers a place for it to develop. That’s why it is important to call an

First things first, you’ll want to turn off

putting a bowl or pan under the leaking pipe, but the longer it is left to leak, in some
cases, it can become harder to fix even if it causes no other damage.
